Observatory Informal Settlement Audio Visual Initiative
Residents from Singabalapha informal settlement in Observatory host weekly film screenings and whenever possible invite the producer, director and those involved in the film for a question and answer session afterwards.
“We have a lot of film makers who have produced a lot of films, and we screen these as entertainment and education purpose. We have a rich and diverse heritage, and these screenings show me a lot of stories I knew little or nothing about.”
