My City Johannesburg

Khanyisa Mhlongo has given the children in her building in Johannesburg a voice through helping them to write stories about their experiences of their city.

“The city is really a cool place to be mostly misunderstood. This story gives a person an overview of how the city functions and awesome culture!”

She works with children in her building as well as a photographer to capture the stories of the children.

“My name is Mpho and I am from the City, I call it my city Johannesburg. Today I will be walking you through the city with me so you can learn how I survive this so called bad city. Put on your shoes and let’s go into the busy and fast paced Jozi.” Except from Mpho’s story
