The South African Cities Network convenes the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) Reference Group in conjunction with the National Department of Public Works and Infrastructure to mobilize the participating metros in how they can contribute towards skills development and job creation within their cities.
This reference group consists of key officials in the cities who are responsible for implementing the Expanded Public Works Programme in their respective cities. The reference group serves as a forum for facilitating information and knowledge exchange, enhancing coordination between the cities and relevant national departments towards the successful implementation of EPWP in the metros.
