BUILT ENVIRONMENT

Built Environment refers to the physical- hard infrastructure- aspects that make up the city. Roads, sidewalks, buildings, water pipes etc. Great liveable places require good quality infrastructure to be provided in a co-ordinated way so the streets, speak to the buildings and connect people to the places and services they require daily. The SACN focuses on integrated built environment outcomes. That is both the physical form of infrastructure but also how it connects to peoples’ lived experiences and aspirations to create spatially transformed cities.
